Item Description
Lovingly hand-crafted by local master craftsman and artisan, Morris Koppels.
Morris Kopels is a juried artist who exhibits yearly at the Adirondack Museum Rustic Furniture Fair in Blue Mountain Lake New York. He has also exhibited at LARAC, The Adirondack Home Show, The Mountain Culture Festival, Western Living Show, Lake Placid Lodge, the Pointe, and local galleries.
Born in Germany, he immigrated to the United States in 1949 at the tender age of 9 months. He was raised in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, attended MIT and the University of Massachusetts Medical School. Morris’ love of the mountains and outdoors moved him to Wyoming where he met his artistic wife Nannette. Morris returned to upstate New York with his wife and 2 daughters. He continued as an ER physician and became a rustic furniture builder drawing inspiration from Jim Howard, Randy Holden, Barry Gregson, Barney Belanger and Phil Kellog.
