Item Description
Commissioned by Lili Colby of MTI Life Jackets specifically for NFCT's annual auction, this 53" paddle was painted by Wisconsin artist Susan Sternkopf to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Wild & Scenic Rivers Act. A one-of-a-kind piece of useable art, this antique canoe paddle is restored with multiple layers of varnish to protect the painting on the blade and features the brass 50th Anniversary badge on the neck. Two sections of the NFCT - the Allagash Wilderness Waterway and the Upper Missisquoi - are protected by the Wild & Scenic designation, making this paddle a keepsake for anyone who loves the NFCT.
Item Special Note
