Item Description
Dimensions are 20 x 28.
Radeaux paints the fauna of his native Colorado. The life sized images of birds and other animals are not merely idealized illustrations but explore the patterning and geometrics found in nature. Spatial relationships and comparison to stylized depictions of nature from various cultures are also part of this art. It is a style that is unique to Radeaux, a combination of detail and restraint, repetition and rhythm.
A veteran of many art exhibits, Radeaux has provided illustrations for a variety of publications. He painted the covers and created all the illustrations for the Colorado Breeding Bird Atlas. He is an avid birder and lends his skills in seasonal bird surveys.
Radeaux is the “Deaux” of the John Deaux art gallery. His studio is located within the gallery. When you visit the gallery he will always have time to talk to you about the art and artists.
