Item Description
The image in this antique-style wall scroll from Oriental Outpost depicts Guanyin Buddha, also romanized as Kuan Yin, the compassionate deity of Buddhism.
This wall scroll is designed to have a classic look (like an antique).
It should be noted that this is a "partial print". The black detailed lines were printed on the special handmade paper. The use of a fine art printing process for this artwork keeps the price of the artwork affordable. All the colored areas are hand-painted.
Says Gary Westergren, owner of Oriental Outpost, "I decided to sell Chinese art online because it seems that most people in the world know little about the artistic treasures that are available in China, and even less about the long history of Chinese art whose techniques date back thousands of years."
Gary co-founded Oriental Outpost 14 years ago when he was teaching English in Beijing. He self-describes as "a nerd, web designer, adventurer, TV co-host in China, former Marine, and current U.S Soldier (one weekend per month)."
