OUR HISTORY
On a crisp North Carolina spring day, back in 1982, a new kind of grocery store was created. The founders took their life savings and put it all into their dream: a fresh take on grocery shopping. They wanted to bring back the old-world charm of the market and on March 5, they opened The Fresh Market for business.

Over the past 30 years we’ve made it our goal to set ourselves apart from the rest. Our founders wanted to create a space that focused on the value of supporting local growers and charities, while offering the freshest and most delicious foods possible. By providing our customers with a warm and inviting shopping experience, The Fresh Market is more than just a store – it’s part of a community.

Today, with over 170 locations, we are still committed to those values, while providing the warmth of a friendly local market rather than an over-industrialized shopping experience. Following the tradition of our original Greensboro location, customers are always welcome with warm greetings and remarkable service. And just like that same store we still offer fresh foods with the highest quality at the best value.

Items are available for pick up at the Alumni House, 491 N. Razorback Road, no earlier than November 13 and no later than November 24. Shipping is NOT included in the final bidding price. If shipment of your item is required, please contact the Alumni Association for shipping costs at 479-575-2801. All shipments will be sent by November 28.
