Item Description
"Bamboo Wind" is the name given to this calligraphy from Suzan, it describes both the subject matter and the Japanese kanji (kaze.) Says the artist, "I love the movement of bamboo and totally respect this versatile plant for all the many uses it offers from food to building material." The successful bidder will receive their own print of the original.
Suzan has been practicing Zen brush for many years; initially she learned from two Zen monk friends and for the past 10 years she has made a formal study of classical Japanese calligraphy. She holds professional rank in Japanese brush art and offers lessons. Her work can be seen in galleries.

Medium: sumi ink with brush on Asian paper, acid-free archival giclee print.
Personal red seal bearing artist's name: Suzan (sun over mountain).
Each image is surrounded by a 2" white border, ready for framing and hanging.
