Fanch Ledan (b. 1949) is a French artist whose famous “interiorscapes” blend art and architecture in bold colors in open interiors, allowing the viewers to place themselves within the space. As an art student in Paris at the Ecole Superieure des Sciences Commercies in 1968, Fanch's artwork was received by several galleries and major European exhibitions. His talents in painting were recognized by critics abroad and his work was accepted in two major European exhibits: the prestigious "Salons des Artistes Francaises" and the "Salon des Peintres temoins de leur temps." Fanch became involved in printmaking and lithography in Paris in 1973. Over the years, he has worked in highly respected printing studios in San Francisco, London, New York, Melbourne, Paris, and Tel-Aviv. Since 1973, Fanch has had more than 51 individual shows.
His artwork is in the collections of Jacques Cousteau, Armand Hammer, Baron Bich, Jack Nicholson, John Williams, and Prince Albert. Fanch has done paintings and projects for U.S. Air, Air France, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Tokyo Dome, HAVAS, Esso Exxon, and Yokohama. (Information obtained from Park West Galleries materials)
