Li-Lac Chocolates Factory Tour for 8
Li-Lac Chocolates is Manhattan's oldest chocolate house - a New York tradition since 1923. This experience invites you and 7 friends to a private behind-the-scenes guided tour at their chocolate factory in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. Watch as this old-school chocolate maker crafts their fresh, artisan chocolate using recipes and production methods from the 1920's. This unique-in-New-York chocolate factory has its production facility completely visible to the public, but the winners will be able to step beyond the windows and experience everything up close. The guided tour includes samples right off the enrober (i.e. I Love Lucy) and all participants will take home their own box of fresh, gourmet chocolate.
Li-Lac Chocolates makes old-world artisan chocolate in small batches for exceptional quality and superior taste - using original recipes, time-honored techniques, and quality ingredients. Our selection of fresh chocolate - more than 140 items - is one of the largest selections of fresh gourmet chocolate in America. Every delicious item is made by hand, locally in New York City, and guaranteed for freshness.
Today, Li-Lac Chocolates is in the hands of two passionate and long-time customers, Anthony Cirone and Christopher Taylor - both residents of the West Village and Li-Lac patrons since 1994; along with Anwar Khoder, Li-Lac's Master Chocolatier, who joined the company in 1989 and is now a co-owner. Together this trio represents the newest generation of Li-Lac owners; and, as their predecessors before them, they are committed to retaining the old world character and old-school chocolate making processes that makes Li-Lac Chocolates so special and unique. In 2014, they built their new chocolate factory at Industry City (Sunset Park, Brooklyn) where customers can look in through oversized windows and see the chocolate-making in action. In 2015, they opened their fourth store on Bleecker Street in Greenwich Village, and in 2016 they opened their fifth store in Chelsea Market.
