Busy New York State Assemblyman James Skoufis (District 99 – parts of North Rockland and central Orange County) has generously consented to conduct the winning bidder and a friend or family member on a personal tour of the New York Capitol Building (which was completed in 1899 and houses the New York State Legislature), and to treat the two to lunch in one of the legislative building dining areas.
This enlightening and impressive 90-minute experience, a visit to the Albany venue in which State business is conducted, and lunch, both hosted by Assemblyman Skoufis, must be scheduled for a mutually convenient date during the legislative session (January – June 2018)
Assemblyman James Skoufis
Born in Flushing, Queens, James Skoufis has lived in the Town of Woodbury and Hudson Valley for more than 20 years. He graduated from Monroe-Woodbury High School, and went on to earn his B.A. summa cum laude from The George Washington University and an M.A. from Columbia University.
The son of a Greek immigrant, James understands the struggles that many families are bearing. Elected to the Assembly in 2012, his legislative priorities include a full repeal of the MTA payroll tax, tax cuts for small business growth, tax penalties for corporations who ship jobs overseas, and the attentive care of our veterans who honorably serve our country.
