Item Description
The Umbrella Community is a community arts center in Concord, Massachusetts dedicated to enriching lives and building a vibrant community through the arts.
These two ticket vouchers are good for any upcoming Performing Arts production at The Umbrella in the 2017-2018 season. These productions include:
- Glengarry Glenn Ross (January 19 - February 4) - This scalding comedy took Broadway and London by storm. Here is Mamet at his very best, writing about small-time, cutthroat real estate salesmen trying to grind out a living by pushing plots of land on reluctant buyers in a never-ending scramble for their share of the American dream. Revived on Broadway in 2005 and 2012, this masterpiece of American drama also became a celebrated film which starred Al Pacino, Jack Lemmon, Alec Baldwin and Alan Arkin.
- To Kill a Mockingbird (March 23 - April 8) - Set in the Deep South, Harper Lee's Pulitzer Prize-winning novel sees racial injustice envelop a small-town community. Through courage and compassion, lawyer Atticus Finch seeks the truth, and his feisty daughter, Scout - a young girl on the cusp of adulthood - brings new hope to a neighborhood in turmoil.
- Parade (May 4 - May 20) - Amid religious intolerance, political injustice and racial tension, the stirring Tony Award-winning PARADE explores the endurance of love and hope against all the odds. With a book by acclaimed playwright Alfred Uhry (Driving Miss Daisy) and a rousing, colorful and haunting score by Jason Robert Brown (Songs For A New World, The Last Five Years, Bridges Of Madison County), PARADE is a moving examination of the darkest corners of America's history.
