Item Description
Support your books or magazines with ancient lava! The dark portion of these rocks is basalt which spewed out of a volcano over 2.3 billion years ago. It flowed over even older gravel and picked up reddish inclusions of orthoclase feldspar. The bookends came from the Ste. Saint Marie area in Canada. Approx. 7.5" high and 9" wide (pushed together).
Item Special Note
Due to item's heavy weight, it is recommended for pick-up only at the NOHLC Clarkston office. Winner bidder please arrange a pick up time through Miranda at NOHLC@comcast.net after auction close.
