Item Description

Rebecca Hatcher will provide a free, half-day preservation consult to a cultural heritage organization. The visit will include advice for improving the preservation, storage and care of paper-based materials (books, manuscripts and other documents, organizational archives, photographs), focused on the specific needs of the organization and what is feasible in terms of cost, time, and space. The consultation will include a written report, summarizing the recommendations discussed during the visit. 

Item Special Note

Rebecca Hatcher is currently the preservation Coordination Librarian at Beinecke Library, Yale University. Previously, she worked at the Northeast Document Conservation Center, where she routinely conducted preservation needs assessments for museums, libraries, archives, and other special collections repositories and cultural heritage organizations.

Consultation to be arranged with Rebecca on a mutually-agreeable date by December 2018.

Due to the travel involved, this is only open to organizations in Connecticut.

Winning bidder will receive a certificate for this item.
