Intrepid Summer Camp: Join us at the Intrepid Museum for one fun-filled week of camp for children in Kindergarten – 5 th Grade.
At Camp Intrepid, children engage in themed activities and projects related to aviation, navigation and technology, inventions, engineering, construction, life at sea and more.
Also included in Camp Intrepid:
- Healthy, nut-free snacks provided to participants twice a day.
- T-shirt and water bottle.
- Special guest speakers/instructors and occasional trips to enrich the camp
experience
General information:
- Camp takes place Monday-Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm at the Intrepid Museum
- Transportation to and from camp is the family’s responsibility.
- Temporary parking can be arranged for easy drop-off and pick-up.
- Lunch may be purchased in advance through the Intrepid Museum or sent from home.
- Camp Intrepid is a nut-free camp.
*Good for one week during the summer 2018 session of Camp Intrepid for one child only. Certain restrictions may apply.

Spend your summer exploring history and experimenting with science! Choose the weeks that fit your summer plans. Each week has its own theme, projects, indoor and outdoor activities, special guests and exclusive time in the Exploreum—the Museum’s hall of interactive exhibits.
June 25–29 Full Steam Ahead
Explore a different type of transportation every day. Go underwater with submarines, fly high with rockets, investigate wheels, find out what floats our boat, and have “plane” old fun.
July 2–6 Full Steam Ahead
No camp July 4.

July 9–13 Spy Science
Shhh! Don’t tell anyone- we’re cracking codes to follow clues to solve mysteries! Then we’ll examine the fingerprints to find out who Took the Talk Tube? Was it YOU under that disguise?
July 16–20 Under Construction
Grab your hard hat – it’s time build “Camp-topia”! Engineers, architects, builders- everyone has part in creating and constructing the new town. Learn about their roles, and build your own Camp-topia!
July 30–August 3 Tinker Time
Grades 2–3 only. Limited to 15 campers.
Unleash your imagination! Twist, turn, build, paint and design to create structures you never thought possible using wheels, pipe cleaners, gears and more.
August 6–10 Superheroes: Time for Action!
Grades K–1 only. Limited to 15 campers.
What is your super power? What planet are you from? Create an alter ego, investigate what keeps <em>Intrepid</em> in super shape, and help restore the ship.
August 20–24 Spy Science
