Item Description
Up for auction is violin commemorating Charlie Daniels 80th Birthday Volunteer Jam in 2016. This instrument, signed by Charlie Daniels himself, is a truly unique instrument. Daniels is well known for his hits “The Devil Went Down To Georgia,” for which he won a Grammy, and “The South’s Gonna Do It Again.” Daniels also played bass guitar on recordings by Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen, and has recorded several Gospel albums.
The Volunteer Jam is an annual concert organized by Daniels that has been a somewhat annual event since 1974. The concerts feature guest performers from all different musical genres, including Stevie Ray Vaughan, Carl Perkins, Don Henley, the reunited Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Tammy Wynette. This violin commemorates the 2016 Jam, which also celebrated Daniels’ 80th birthday.
This new violin comes with a Certificate of Authenticity for Charlie’s signature, bow, rosin, and a fitted case. This truly distinctive instrument can be yours, so bid today!
