Item Description

At Wildwood Community Acupuncture, we provide affordable acupuncture in a group setting. Treatments are customized to your particular needs while you relax in a comfortable reclining chair.

Acupuncture is an ancient healing art with modern applications.

Acupuncture has been practiced for over 2,000 years under the philosophy that all disease stems from an “imbalance of energy.” An imbalance of energy is simply another way to describe disruption of equilibrium. Factors such as stress, poor nutrition, poor sleep, weather, genetics, infections, environmental toxins, lack of community, and trauma can disrupt this equilibrium. Though acupuncture is best known for pain relief, the focus of a treatment always includes overall well-being.

Using sterile, stainless steel needles, acupuncture is one way to regulate imbalance. When the body functions correctly, symptoms improve and an overall sense of wellness results. The experience of acupuncture should be pleasant; the majority of patients fall asleep once the points are placed. In other words, it doesn’t hurt!

Acupuncture is one of the most studied forms of complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) and can play an important role in a comprehensive approach to health and healing. Many high-quality randomized, controlled trials (RCTs) have proven acupuncture’s effectiveness for many common conditions, including back pain, menopausal hot flashes, migraine, tension-type headache, chronic daily headache, infertility, and labor induction.

Wildwood supports the unique expression of health for every patient that comes through our doors. We understand that your experiences influence your health, and hold true to the belief that medicine must address the whole person, not just an isolated set of symptoms. Our practitioners take time to hear individual stories, and will consider factors that influence health, such as genetics, environmental conditions, and lifestyle factors, as well as socioeconomic status, gender, sexuality, race, community, and accessibility to care.

Our health center and clinic is a safe space for everyone.
