"Love" - A Calligraphy by Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche
Printed on uncoated archival-quality paper
11x17
Love by Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche transplanted Buddhism to the West with a three-month teaching and training program. He spent this time at Vajradhatu Seminary working very closely with his students - his love for them was in great evidence. It was here that the original calligraphy was executed, and was an event that was marked by his proclamation of the Great Eastern Sun - the sun of enlightened mind that awakens in each moment.
Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche was also a poet, painter, and calligrapher whose teachings on dharma art described a profound connection between meditative mind and the creative process. It was unusual for him to do a calligraphy of an English word and it’s a delight to have it here on offer in print form.
Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche (1940-1987) is recognized for playing a pivotal role in the transmission of genuine Buddhadharma to the West. One of the first Tibetan Buddhist teachers to come to America, he established Shambhala International. He is the author of bestselling books on the Buddhist teachings.
