Item Description
5 bottles - 2014 Casa Silva Carmenere - Chile
In Chile, Casa Silva is synonymous with Carmenere, as this is the winery that put the most time, effort and investment into this grape variety. Until the mid to late 1990s, much of it was confused with Merlot, picked way too early, and did not perform as a star grape. Carmenere is a grape of Bordelaise origin, and is valued as a distinctly Chilean specialty. Casa Silva's Carmenere is a classic, and makes a great introduction, with bright cherry flavors mingling with green peppercorns. This is a fresh, snappy, savory, and utterly unique red wine.
