Item Description
Under the eclipse and stars, the Jewish people continue their Biblical traditions in their synagogues - holding up the Torah. We can dance and have fun even without fully understanding the meaning of life or the sacred text. This piece is the second in a series of 3 piece by Eddie - interpreting Exodus 24:7 “Naaseh V’nishma” - the dramatic story of Moses descending in a storm and fire from Mt. Sinai to bring the word of God to the Israelites. Hazzan Rachel translates Naaseh V’nishma as “we do it and then we hear or understand about it”.
Item Special Note
This auction item is a 11"x14" gallery quality print, suitable for framing. The first interpretation by Eddie in the Naaseh V’nishma series, which was done in encaustic medium, is currently on display through February 14 in the gallery at the Rockville JCC. Encaustic originals of the Exodus 24:7 triptych are available for sale. To see the entire triptych, order one of his Adat Shalom name tags, Jewish-themed art, or other works by Eddie, send an e-mail: egross@gross.com - or visit: artyay.com
