GETTING THERE AND GETTING AROUND
Fly into San Jose. From there, you can either rent a car and drive 3 hours south or take a puddle-hopper flight to the Quepos airport (where I could lean on my buddy Harry – the owner – to pick you up.) We usually rent a car to make sure that we can drive around the Quepos area. There’s plenty of spots that are walkable, and cabs can take you places that are too far, so you can do without a car for the week if that’s what you prefer. The staff at LMI are professional, helpful and knowledgeable. They can reserve a car, make tour arrangements, etc. The hotel provides all sorts of classy amenities, like leaving towels on the beds in the shape of swans.
