Item Description
Raffael Cavallaro has lived and worked as an artist in Cambridge, MA since 1986. As a child growing up in New York City, he showed an early talent for visual and musicial arts and studied at the Brooklyn Museum. He continued his artistic pursuits as an undergraduate at Princeton University, and went on to complete a Ph.D. in Anthropology at Harvard University. After finishing his dissertation, he returned to his life-long passion for drawing and painting, taking courses at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts. His distinctive, colorful style draws on the techniques of Modernist painters Picasso and Matisse, and his paintings have found their way into private collections in the Boston area.
