Item Description

24”w x 30”h x 15"d, 15 pounds - Glass Mosaic *See Raffle Note Below

Nature’s Rhythm is a vintage telephone chair transformed into a functional piece of art by Shanna Robb.  Deeply rooted in her intricate design is the bond between nature and music.

This charming chair is small enough to fit any space, yet bold enough to be a statement piece.  Feeding off the seeds planted by her Wyoming upbringing and the California artist community of Idyllwild, which the artist now calls home, her twisted leaf design includes hundreds of pieces of glass that guide the eye across each element.

The narrow dimensions of the ribbon around the chair and 25” tall clef note presented a challenge that dictated the design layout.  By limiting the color scheme to three harmonious colors and hand-selecting glass with unique texture, the meandering pattern brings nature inside.

The artist’s attention to detail includes newly upholstered hinged seat (by fellow artist Steve Zaccardi), hidden metal mesh detail inside seat storage area, and custom glass top.

*NOTE:  This is our only raffle item.  Winning ticket will be pulled during May 26th live event.  Winner does not need to be present.  Tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20.  To learn more about where raffle tickets may be purchased, follow us on Facebook or email associates@idyllwildarts.org

ARTIST BIO:

Shanna Robb started her love affair with glass in 1991 after creating center pieces for her wedding.  Originally from Wyoming, she started selling her own custom designs in 2012.  Shanna’s goal was and is to create one-of-a-kind art with one-of-a-kind stories.  Inspired by 13 years as a Professional Organizer, she is driven to give life to otherwise forgotten pieces.  Her newest series of artwork focuses on music and musical instruments.  Shanna believes that each piece made is made for someone…not just anyone.  As a result, just like those who collect her artwork, everything she creates is a one-of-a-kind.
