Enjoy a concert by master violinist Niv Ashkenazi!  The evening will be hosted by Highland Hall family Jeremy and Elizabeth Beim at their home in Encino.  The night includes the Beim's tended martini bar cocktail hour and appetizers.  This wonderful evening is scheduled for Saturday May 12!

This item will be open to the 10 couples who can all earn a spot for this wonderful evening.

About Niv Ashkenazi:

Praised for his “lush sound...[and] passionate playing” (CASA Magazine) and “formidable technical powers” (Santa Barbara News-Press), classical violinist Niv Ashkenazi is an active soloist and chamber musician. He has made several Carnegie Hall and Kennedy Center appearances, and has performed in Europe, the Middle East, and across the United States.


Highlights of his past season include an appearance as a guest artist at La Sierra University and a residency with the Perlman Music Program performing on the Violins of Hope in Sarasota, Florida. Mr. Ashkenazi was invited to perform and speak at the Jewish Funders Network Conference and collaborated with TranscenDanceGroup as the music arranger and featured soloist on the multimedia show, G*D. Other recent performances include recitals at the Kennedy Center Concert Hall, the Granada Theatre in Santa Barbara, and as a guest artist at Westmont College, as well as solo appearances with the Los Angeles Doctors Symphony Orchestra and the California State University, Northridge Orchestra. As a chamber musician, he has collaborated with members of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Juilliard String Quartet, Cavani Quartet, and Ariel Quartet. Mr. Ashkenazi holds both a B.M. and an M.M. from The Juilliard School, where he was a student of Itzhak Perlman and Glenn Dicterow

Piano Accompanist:

Pianist Zachary Deak has appeared in recitals and music festivals in the United States, France, Morocco, Portugal, Moldavia and the United Kingdom. In February 2015 he appeared as a concerto soloist with the Moldavian chamber orchestra conducted by Alexei Wassilenko.  A graduate of the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris and the Royal College of Music, Zachary is currently a graduate teaching assistant at the University of Southern California where he is pursuing his Doctorate of Musical Arts degree under the guidance of Dr. Stewart Gordon.

During his time in London Zachary received the Hopkinson silver medal at the prestigious Chappell Medal Piano competition and in 2013 had the privilege to work intensively with the eminent pianist Maria Joao Pires in Paris and Brussels.

Zachary has performed in master classes and workshops with with Murray Perahia, Maria Joao Pires, Dang Thai Son, Vladimir Feltsman, Alexander Korsantia and Marc Durand.

Zachary is committed to the performance of classical music at a community level and enjoys working regularly with students in master classes and other educational outreach events.
