Item Description
My paintings are based on the traditional American Southern urban landscapes and architecture that surround me in Charleston, South Carolina. Employing the dreamy color palette abundant in the mysterious Charleston environment, I contrast these Southern images with meticulous paint application to appeal to the Minimalist aesthetic. I envision my paintings serving as a bifocal lens for my peers: igniting thoughtful appreciation of the sweet, forgotten spaces the Millennial world loses in pursuit of digital connection while also revisiting moments that weren’t there in the past and which could vanish any day.Conjoined Fraternal Twins is one of a group of paintings exploring the changing urban landscape of Charleston.
Item Special Note
Conjoined Fraternal Twins is a work of 20” x 20” acrylic and gouache on wood panel.
