Find your path to college and beyond!

Beth spent four years at Eden Prairie High School as the Career Resource Center Coordinator.  Beth specializes in helping students and families navigate the college process with special attention to career options and their impact on college choices. She is known for building a warm and engaging environment for students that ensures positive outcomes. 

Beth will offer up to 2 hours of help in any area of Career Planning and College Major Selection (for high school or college students).

TWO HOURS OF CAREER ASSESSMENT AND ADVISING:

  • In-depth interview to uncover interests, academic and personal strengths and challenges using Myers Brigs Personality Type Indicator, Strengths Finder, Values and Skills Assessments.
  • Profile of personal strengths and skills
  • Report with good fit career options including data about salaries, potential growth, necessary education, suggested college majors, career building strategies, and potential benefits and risks of each option. 
  • Thorough meeting notes for student and parents after each of the two meetings

UP TO TWO HOURS OF ANY OF THE FOLLOWING:

  • Building a list of good fit colleges based on student academic and personal interests, geographic preferences, potential for scholarships
  • Pre-college academic, co-curricular, and summer program advising to support student long term college plans
  • Application and essay coaching including topic identification, application strategies, and essay review
  • Thorough meeting notes for student and parents after each of the two meetings

Online counseling options are also available.

 

While at Eden Prarie High School, Beth was highly respected by students, parents and fellow staff.  She was responsible for:

  • Leading college and career planning at EPHS for over 3000 students
  • Delivering application and essay writing workshops 
  • Individually critiquing and editing college essays 
  • Developing and presenting weekly workshops on college and career planning
