Item Description
Take once in a lifetime flights in two planes that were instrumental in training pilots to fly the fighters and bombers during WWII. Fly with a trained pilot in the first two airplanes that most WWII pilots learned to fly in, the J-3 Piper Cub (1946) and the PT-17 Stearman (1942). The Cub was the primary trainer for 75% of pilots in the Civilian Pilot Training Program, while the Stearman, with its open cockpit, was the primary trainer for the U.S. Army and Navy. Start with an “introductory” flight in a 1946 J-3 Piper Cub before sitting in the cockpit of a WWII-era Stearman.
This is a very rare and exciting opportunity for any World War II buff or aviation enthusiast!
Item Special Note
