Item Description
Advent grandmother, Alice Rudell, has had her work shown in scores of juried exhibits!
This piece, “Blue Hues,” is an example of traditional American rug hooking, using untraditional materials.
It contains sixteen different fabrics of wool, cotton, linen, silk, and polyester, hooked on a linen backing which is stretched over a lap frame.
These fabrics are hand cut into 1/4” strips and then pulled up through the linen backing with a small wood handled metal hook.
The tight juxtaposition of the loops holds the fabrics in place.
Don't miss out on this exquisite piece of artwork!
Item Special Note
