The Women of Jewelia invite you and a friend for Happy Hour at a local Ventura restaurant for conversation, camaraderie, drinks and appetizers.

Includes a signed copy of the book of their story "The Necklace."  Join them to hear their story and have a blast! 

The Women of Jewelia are thirteen women in Ventura, California, who on September 18, 2004 went together to buy a diamond necklace to share. Within months the media picked up their story. People magazine ran a feature. Katie Couric reported on the venture for “The Today Show.” Other segments followed on “Inside Edition,” “The Early Show,” and KCBS-TV’s “Studio Two” in Los Angeles. Fox Searchlight Pictures bought the movie rights. Because the group was in its infancy, the flurry of news stories barely got beyond the purchase. No one knew then where the necklace would lead, least of all the thirteen women who’d bought it.

How to pick up winning items: If you are attending our “Putting on the Ritz” event on March 10, 2018, please plan to pick up your winning item(s) at the end of the evening; otherwise, if you received your winning bidder email and live in the Ventura County area, please contact ncljuniorsauction@gmail.com to arrange for pick up.

Shipping: We will ship your item if you live outside of the Ventura County area and within the United States. Bidder is responsible for shipping and handling fees, which will automatically be added to the winning bid amount. There will be no additional charge to send Gift Certificates and/or Event Tickets via standard USPS mail. All other items will be shipped via USPS Priority Mail or FedEx at the applicable standard rates based on item size. Visit www.usps.com for standing shipping rates. We will do our best to package items so they arrive in good condition, however, we cannot be responsible for any damage that may occur during transit. We will not ship actual baskets or containers, only the contents. We strongly suggest that you arrange for pick up of any artwork(s). We are unable to ship wine/alcohol.
