Item Description

The winner of this auction receives a gift certificate for 2 VIP Game Day Tickets and an Adult Small or Youth Large Jersey! Jersey is for Tim Brown #81.

On September 5, 2012, a press conference was held at the Dick’s Sporting Goods store in Allen, TX to announce the official launch of a new Indoor Football League team to play in the Allen Event Center. In this press conference, members of the team’s front office staff and ownership group launched a county-wide “Name YOUR Team” contest, with one lucky fan winning $5,000 for choosing the team’s name. In addition, it was announced that the team had added on two local celebrities to the ownership group, former Heisman Trophy winner and Oakland Raider Tim Brown, as well as local attorney and State Senator Ken Paxton.

After more than 1,000 submissions, the team chose the name Texas Revolution as the identity for the new organization. At a press conference on September 19, the name and logo were unveiled in grand fashion, as a human sign of 10 people helped to spell out the name Revolution on the roof of a replica of the Alamo. Immediately after, a horse carrying a rider wearing Texas Revolution garb trotted around the building holding a flag with the Revolution logo emblazoned on it.

The Revolution boast the most experienced front office in the CIF, boasting former IFL Commissioner Tommy Benizio as the team’s CEO. With over 20 years of experience running and owning professional sports teams, Tommy built a staff that includes former colleague with the Odessa Roughnecks Professional Football team, Charlie Hildbold. Hildbold, in his fifth season with the team and the third season as team President has over 10 years of sports experience, winning a Game Ops of the Year award in Odessa, before starting the Richmond Revolution, the team that won an IFL Franchise of the Year award and Media Relations of the Year award in their first season in 2010.

The Revolution have gone 13-1 at home over the past two seasons, finishing with the league’s best record in 2016. The team took home a majority of league awards including Franchise of the Year, Executive of the Year (Charlie Hildbold), Game Ops of the Year, MVP (Robert Kent, Jr.), Offensive Player of the Year (Robert Kent, Jr.), Coach of the Year (Victor Mann).

The staff contains other seasoned professionals John Nevarez (Assistant General Manager) and David Van Wagenen (Office Manager) as well as a great group of interns for the 2017 season.
