2015 CHASE Hayne Vineyard Zinfandel
In the heart of Saint Helena, the historic Hayne Vineyard is home to 112-year old heritage Zinfandel vines, and the source of some of the most highly rated Zinfandel in California. Like living works of art, each of these old vines is a unique spirit unto itself.
The vines are dry farmed, head-trained, hand-tended and managed sustainably with lots of love and no chemical intervention — the same way the family has done it for five generations.
These old vines have incredible, almost mysterious qualities — giving the vines character and a palpable life force that you can taste and feel in every Hayne Vineyard wine.
The 2015 Zinfandel is vibrant, sexy and absolutely pure, this is the definition of a crowd-pleasing Napa Valley red with the added bonus of being made exclusively from hand harvested Hayne Vineyard fruit. Soft and richly flavored with chocolate covered strawberries, dried cherries and soft peppery spice, the silky tannins carry the ample fruit from the first sniff through to the last lingering sip.
Incredibly approachable for a wine so young, it’s drinking beautifully now and will continue to integrate over the next few years.

Collection of California Sales Tax: Unless a valid resale permit is presented to seller prior to the sale, purchaser will be required to pay all state and local retail sales taxes applicable on the date of sale. Resale permits will be accepted only for businesses that are reasonably expected to buy and sell wine. Sales tax will be collected on the purchase price of each lot which contains tangible goods.
Shipping or Pick up of Wines: Shipping costs are the sole responsibility of the winner.
Non-Napa County winners must arrange for their wines to be shipped from The Packaging Company, beginning Friday, March 2, 2018. If you're the lucky winner, we'll call or email you with directions for making this happen.
Napa County winners of auction lots containing wine may pick up their wines at the St. Helena office of the UpValley Family Centers beginning Friday, March 2, 2018. If you are the lucky winner, we'll call or email you with directions and details.
