Item Description
Mushroom Walk for two: We will teach you tricks for mushroom identification, explore what mushrooms can tell you about the environment, share some of the traditional uses of fungi, as well as some of the historical ways that people have derived nutrition and healing from fungi found in the woods.

Tincture: Chaga is a fungus that grows primarily as a conk on birch trees. It has a hard woody texture and looks black from the outside. Even though its woody appearance is different from other traditional fungi, the conk has been recognized for its medicinal properties in many parts of the world.
Catskill Fungi harvests Chaga growing on live birch trees in the heart of the Catskill mountains for our tinctures. We use a triple extraction method (ethanol, hot water, and cold water) to ensure that all medicinal compounds are present in the tincture in the way that is most bioavailable. This tincture is great for colds, flu's, and viruses as it is high in antioxidants and promotes detoxification. Chaga tincture can also support healthy immune response and skin, and liver health. It has also been utilized as a digestive aid. Feel free to contact John for any questions you may have: John@CatskillFungi.com
Catskill Fungi has a foundation of permaculture principles. This means the core of our business is about helping people and improving the planet through our work with mushrooms. We practice sustainable harvesting, leave-no-trace principles, and compassion for the environment. We aim to empower people to grow edible mushrooms as a fun source of fresh food, to heal themselves through utilizing health properties of fungi, and to explore the historical uses and present day innovations of this exceptional kingdom.
