Item Description
Our teachers have placed new technology at the top of their wish list for an enhanced classroom experience. It's time to improve upon our current projector/rolling cart setup so our kids can reap the benefits of much-needed technological improvements!
The current setup takes up valuable floor space, is a tripping hazard, and puts off enough heat to warm a 2nd grader. These carts serves a purpose, but it's totally 1980s style. We propose raising funds to install one of the following two options in each classroom:
1) an overhead projector such as in the library - removing the heat, cords, and freeing up floor space
2) a massive white board/TV (98”) - accomplishes what the overhead projector does and saves wall space!
There are serious tradeoffs between these two options and the PTO Board will be setting up a committee to evaluate these two alternatives.
With your help, we can begin installing these in some classrooms (as your contributions permit) before school starts in the fall!
Our Spring 2018 PTO goal for this FUND-A-NEED initiative is $20,000. Partnering with the SRCS district, this will allow us to begin rolling out new tech in our classrooms, beginning with 5th grade and working our way down so that all Tigers may benefit during their time at Coleman.
Please give generously!
