Item Description
This handmade block displays a print of Katrina Lund's sketch of the native Astragalus plant in bloom. Astragalus is a beautiful member of the pea family. It has a been used in traditional Chinese medicine for thousands of years. The block is signed by the artist and displays a print on salvaged wood from local cabinet shops It can stand on its own or be hung.
Size: 4” x 6”
Local artist, Katrina Lund, was the 2015 Community Artist in the Parks for the Southeast Utah Group of the National Park Service. Katrina spent over 400 hours in Arches and Canyonlands national parks and Natural Bridges and Hovenweep national monuments sketching and interacting with over 300 visitors. She created over 100 sketches, including the three sketches from which the prints on these blocks are created.
