Item Description
The City As a Unique Fingerprint
By Wendy Hubbert
The kids of 1-103 have put their “stamp” on the Big Apple! Each child chose one of 35 custom-created acrylic paint colors and then used their fingerprints to make a pointillist New York City skyline that’s set against a subtly pearlized blue sky background. If you look closely, you can see a spectrum of artistic styles: some children were interested in placement and precision while others painted in a creative whirlwind. Each child’s fingerprint “signature” appears at the bottom of this framed, ready-to-hang stretched canvas piece—giving you a lasting memory of just how tiny they once were.
