Two nutrition session with Marisa Sherry, fellow PS984 mom, to evaluate your lifestyle and the food choices you are making.
Marisa, Ms, RD, CEDRD, provides nutrition counseling for pediatrics, teenagers and adults. She has a wide variety of experience in health and wellness working with eating disorders, sustainable weight loss and management, food allergies and various other disease control and prevention.
Marisa's approach to nutrition education is to allow each person to be proactive in meeting their goals; meeting each client where they are at and guiding them to their desired end results. Understanding the circumstances of each person’s daily routines is essential to sustainable eating. Marisa will build a customizable program that meets each person’s lifestyle and goals whether you are looking to lose weight, gain weight, suffering with an eating disorder, other medical complications or general wellness and nutrition.
Marisa received a Masters of Science in Clinical Nutrition from New York University and completed her dietetic internship at New York University Medical Center. She received her certification as an Eating Disorder Registered Dietitian (CEDRD) and Supervisor through the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (iaedp). She has a very strong passion for cooking and continues to take classes at the Institute for Culinary Education.
Her most recent past professional experiences included program director atBalance Eating Disorder Treatment Center, and as the Bionutrition Research Coordinator at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine’s General Clinical Research Center.
