High Tea at Simanton Abbey
- Item Number
- 362
- Sold
- 800 USD to Live Event Bidder
Item Description
Transport yourself back to the post-Edwardian era of elegance and spend some time living as members of the Crawley family did in their Yorkshire country estate.
Experience the drinking of tea as a social event and allow it to alter the time and manner in which you and your friends take tea. Afternoon Tea has become the bridge between meals because in the previous century, many wouldn't eat their evening meal until maybe 8 pm. As such, Afternoon Tea became a 'mini meal' in itself. By the end of the nineteenth century, Afternoon Tea developed to its current form.
Such an experience sounds perfect for those of us involved in the arts, what with all the evening rehearsals we attend!
