Item Description

This movement portrait session (can include dance, gymnastics, martial arts), is for one hour, with a result of 10 finalized images, and is for a child or adult!

Accomplished photographer, Christopher Huang, has been photographing images for The Advent School's branding and graduation ceremonies for the last few years, as well as for this event!

Christopher is seen more as a boutique visual branding agency, trusted by clients for his knowledge of the impact of visual narratives to ensure he is creating imagery that will capture the best parts of their personalities and show accurate representation that resonates with actual demographics in the US (often given the euphemism of “diversity”).

He has been hired by various politicians, CEOs, public figures, artists, companies, non-profit organizations, and universities for visual branding work throughout his career.

Christopher’s career highlights include being hired to photograph some of his Asian-American media idols, people who inspired him to pursue a creative path as a storyteller: George Takei, Michelle Kwan, Ming Tsai, and local Boston news anchors Janet Wu and Frances Rivera.

Furthermore, being hired to photograph local influential Asian-American politicians, Nina Liang, Daniel Koh, and Michelle Wu has been another reminder of the importance of Asian-Americans telling their own narratives in all avenues.

Perhaps the biggest highlight has been receiving flattering compliments from younger person of color storytellers about how he has inspired them to pursue their own way of telling their own story. 

Additionally, he fills out his work schedule with wedding photography, family portraiture, and travel photography. He has also recently started leading workshops on How to Convey Leadership Through Body Language in corporate/non-profit leadership training and education spaces, a workshop very much about the importance of accurate representation of women and PoC leadership in shaping perceptions. 

Item Special Note

Can be gifted to someone else. Shoot must be before September 30, 2018. Flexibility in scheduling required. Shoot must be within 30 minutes of Boston. Bidder will be refunded if unable to schedule a time to meet.

Portrait session involves shooting 50-100+ images then sharing proofs to decide which 10 to finalize. Proofs should only be used for selection purposes and not for sharing or printing. Unlimited costume/outfit changes (three or less recommended).

Images may be used for personal promotion/marketing but not commercially, including sale of the image. Please email Christopher Huang with specific questions regarding use of images.

Note from Christopher: Especially since I am a supporter of the arts, who grew up in the performing arts, I would like to share a few of these images on my site. I will ask your preferences for which image or images I share.
