Item Description

Originally from Brownsville, Texas, photographer Patricia Garcia-Gomez has spent her life documenting people and culture.

She was among the first westerners to be granted access to the matriarchal Miao tribe in remote China. She's also spent decades documenting ground-breaking female artists, like Agnes Martin and Beatrice Wood, in the latter part of their lives.

Patricia's work is part of the permanent collections of the NY Museum of Art & Design, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Tate Modern, the Henry Buhl Collection, the Santa Barbara Museum of Art and the Agnes Martin Estate in New Mexico.
