Raymond Vineyards 2013, 1 1/2 Acre Napa Valley Red Wine

The 2013 vintage in Napa Valley was one of the earliest harvested vintages in years. With warm days and cool nights, our team was able to maintain ideal acid levels with optimum, bright fruit flavors. This vintage contains four of the five planted varieties - Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot. The grapes underwent an extended maceration and sat of the skins for 27 days before a native fermentation which lends complexity and depth to the wine before being racked to medium toast French oak barrels for about 19 months.  

The grapes in the blend were grown Biodynamically and organically to create a truly harmonious expression of our estate. The 1 1/2 Acre opens with alluring aromas of rose petal and fresh golden raspberry with floral notes. This soft and supple blend emanates baking spice, star anise and notes of an earthly forest floor with a soft white peppery finish. Inviting now, yet it will age beautifully over the next 25-30 years.

Winning bidders located in Northern California may pick up their items at Stone Bridge School in Napa from Tuesday, March 20 to Friday, April 6, 2018, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. PT. (Note that the school will be closed for spring break from March 26 to March 30.) Items not picked up by April 6 will be mailed to the winning bidder, and purchaser is responsible for shipping and insurance costs.

Items purchased by bidders residing outside of Northern California will be shipped (if possible) on or around Tuesday, March 20, unless you tell us that you do wish to pick up your item. Purchaser is responsible for shipping and insurance costs. Please contact us at sbspcauction@gmail.com before March 19 if you plan to pick up.
