Item Description
This unique hat is what happens when two Moab artists combine forces. Subvert’s Chad Niehaus does his "Air Dry” block print on upcycled fabric (usually sheets from WabiSabi), then Katrina Lund sews the patch on a trucker hat, choosing funky threads to make it pop. Each hat has different material and different thread, making each of these hats unique!
About "Air Dry" -Line-drying creates a great social equalizer. Each one of us has to put in a good deal of work behind the scenes to pull off what we do in public. Catching a glimpse of this (and offering the glimpse yourself) creates a more comfortable vibe in your community.
This is also a great way to forge a relationship with non-human forces. Like any relationship, there's a learning process involved to optimize the situation. But there's not a whole lot of risk here. The risk -- still-wet clothes. The reward -- a more nuanced awareness (and appreciation?) of the ever-changing weather.
Royal Blue hat with paterned material and Rusty Orange thread
