About UpClose: The Band's Visit

Meet cast members from The Band's Visit at The Drama League's UpClose event on Monday, April 23, 2018 - in an intimate setting, we'll delve into the creation of the dynamic new show with six of the artists currently bringing it to life on Broadway.  Premium ticket holders are given reserved seating at the event.

With: Katrina Lenk (Indecent, Once, Spiderman), Adam Kantor (Fiddler on the Roof, Rent, Next to Normal), Etai Benson (American in Paris, Wicked), Ari'el Stachel (The Band's Visit [ATC], The Golem of Havana [Barrington Stage Company]), Andrew Polk (Burning, Mouth To Mouth, The Accomplices), John Cariani (Something Rotten!, Fiddler on the Roof, Picnic).

UpClose events take place at The Drama League Theater Center in TriBeCa, New York City.

About The Band's Visit

Featuring music & lyrics by three-time Tony Award nominee & Drama Desk Award winner David Yazbek (The Full Monty, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels) and a book by NY Drama Critics Circle, Lortel and Outer Critics award winner and Drama Desk nominee Itamar Moses (The Fortress of Solitude, Bach at Leipzig), based on the screenplay by Eran Kolirin, The Band's Visit comes to Broadway following a critically acclaimed and twice-extended sold-out world premiere production Off-Broadway at Atlantic Theater Company.

SYNOPSIS: An Egyptian Police Band arrives in Israel to play a concert. After a mix up at the border, they are sent to a remote village in the middle of the desert. With no bus until morning and no hotel in sight, these unlikely travelers are taken in by the locals. Under the spell of the desert sky, their lives become intertwined in the most unexpected ways.

RESTRICTIONS: Tickets for the show are subject to availability and may be used only for performances on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday evenings, between April 1 and May 30, 2018. 

Tickets for the UpClose event at The Drama League are not transferable and may only be used for the event on April 23, 2018.  

PLEASE NOTE: In order prevent credit card fraud, if the winning bid exceeds $1,000, The Drama League of New York will require a signed credit card authorization form, a photocopy of both sides of the purchasing credit card (all but the last 4 digits may be blacked out), and proof of identity (state-issued photo ID – private ID numbers may be blacked out), OR payment via check or money order before arranging the prize package for the winner.
