Item Description
A Shibori (a Japanese dyeing technique, which produces patterns) fabric framed piece, created by the Sixth Grade!
The sixth grade class made 2 fabric panels measuring 27” X 41” using an ancient Japanese dyeing technique called Shibori.
The Shibori technique dates back to the 8th century in Japan! With Indigo dye, each 6th grader made two shibori indigo dyed panels that are represented on each tapestry.
Each panel hangs from a simple wooden rod and uses a small leather strip as a tie.
