Spot the Leopards!

With this “zooper” memorable experience, you’ll go behind the scenes with your own private tour guide to watch a leopard training session with the one of the Zoo’s Amur leopards. You’ll have the opportunity to talk with a member of our professional animal care team, see a leopard as close as you would ever want to get, and take once in a lifetime photos. 

This exclusive opportunity is good for (4) people and is not open to the general public.  You will have the chance to go behind the scenes to private areas of the zoo, see baby animals and encounter this gorgeous, nearly endangered Amur Leopard up close and not too personal!  (yes it is perfectly safe!)

You may add more people to your experience for a fee. Includes all day zoo passes.  

About the Amur Leopard:

Similar to other leopards, the Amur leopard can run at speeds of up to 37 miles per hour. This incredible animal has been reported to leap more than 19 feet horizontally and up to 10 feet vertically.  Sadly, they are close to extinction due to poaching in their habitats.

The Amur leopard is important ecologically, economically and culturally. Conservation of its habitat benefits other species, including Amur tigers and prey species like deer. With the right conservation efforts, we can bring them back and ensure long-term conservation of the region.

Non-profit organizations and zoos are the reason this animal is still alive. Zoos from Europe and North America have donated $750,000 since 1996 which has been crucial to the Amur leopard’s survival. 

Item Special Note

Restrictions: This certificate must be presented at the Zoo at the time of the experience. Blackout dates include weekends, holidays, the weeks of spring break 2018, and the month of August. This experience accommodates up to four people, including children. Children must be a minimum of six years old.

Please arrange for this experience prior to visiting the zoo.

This includes Zoo admission for four and parking on the day of the encounter. This experience is approximately 30 minutes in duration and is valid weekdays only between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. and is subject to availability.

The Zoo’s top priority is the health and welfare of our animals and we reserve the right to transfer this encounter to a different animal encounter at any time. Additional guests may be added for a fee.
