Item Description
Grab this rare chance to have Ellen Peel, 10th grade parent and San Francisco State University Professor of Comparative and World Literature, lead a four-hour discussion of a novel or a collection of short stories, either current or classic. Dr. Peel would be delighted to focus on the literature of your choice; anything from Ovid's Metamorphoses to Kafka's Metamorphosis, from the Grimms' fairy tales (and modern re-writings) to Le Guin's feminist fantasy and science fiction. Or, since 2018 is the 200th anniversary of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, perhaps you might want to summon up the courage to confront the creature! Go by yourself for an intensive, or bring up to 20 friends to share in this unique experience with another Nueva parent.
Item Special Note
The location must be within half an hour of San Mateo. The book group may take place at one time or may be broken up into several days. Good for 1-20 people. Single bidder item.
