The giclee is signed by the artist and numbered 300 out of 300.
Item Special Note
Erté was born Roman Petrovich Tirtov, to a distinguished military family in St. Petersburg, Russia. In 1910 he would move to Paris and change his name to avoid embarrassing his family so he could work as an artist. Erté would go onto an illustrious career as a costume, set designer, artist and illustrator working on The Follies Bergère, The Ziegfeld Follies and for publications such as Harper’s Bazaar, Ladies Home Journal, and Cosmopolitan.
