Item Description
The three pieces are sections of a much larger installation called "Hometown Hero" the art form was time based. The medium is acrylic on canvas and it was created in 2015 at a size of 24 feet wide X 6 feet in height X 2 inches deep. The art invites involvement by adding a name, date or tiny doodles to the stars and stripes. Visitors have an opportunity to commemorate the life of their hero. Not every hero wears a uniform or red cape. Sometimes a small act of kindness goes unnoticed. Let's salute our hometown heroes-ordinary people who display extraordinary commitment, love, and selflessness.
The navy and white star measures 24"H X 30"W X 1.5"D
The red & white strip with signatures measures 40"H X 16"W X 1.5"D
The super mini of the original piece is 5"H X 5" W X 1.5"D
The artists intent is to have attendees of tonight's MSA event be interactive. Please leave your mark, signature, doodle or message of kindness for all to see.
