Item Description
Private tour for up to eight people of the FDR Four Freedoms Park designed by the architect Louis I. Kahn led by former executive director (and HSAS mom) Gina Pollara. The tour can be scheduled for any day/time of the week, however, a late day/sunset tour on Tuesday is recommended as the park is normally closed to the public that day.
The Franklin D. Roosevelt Four Freedoms Park is a four-acre (1.6 ha) memorial to Franklin D. Roosevelt that celebrates the Four Freedoms he articulated in his 1941 State of the Union address. It is located adjacent to the historic Smallpox Hospital in New York City at the southernmost point of Roosevelt Island, in the East River between Manhattan Island and Queens.
