Is your mouth watering yet?
Guests will:
· Explore Tuscany as Chef Denis imparts his knowledge about the seasonal and specialty ingredients used to create the traditional dishes of the region.
· Learn about the Tuscany’s cultural customs and culinary traditions.
· Enjoy a multi-course meal of Tuscan traditional dishes paired with regional complementary wines.
Tuscany is one of Italy’s charmed regions. It is an all-inclusive region of the beautiful countryside reminiscent of the landscapes of Renaissance masterpieces, a rich heritage including art and architecture, memorable history, excellence in food and wine. The origins of Tuscany’s regional cuisine are rustic with its incorporation of essential ingredients of bread, legumes, herbs and seasonal vegetables plus the game in season. Furthermore, Tuscan food is based on the Italian idea of cucina povera or poor cooking. A concept that started very literally, it’s about simple meals that are inexpensive and could easily be made in large amounts. The provincial cooking with its use of simple ingredients result in traditional hearty and flavorful dishes. And of course, we cannot forget the wine. Like other wine producing parts of the world, Tuscany produces wines that match the flavors of local dishes from Chianti to Vino Nobile Montepulciano, Brunello di Montalcino, and many more.
