Item Description
Established in Cambridge in 1990, NOMAD is a world-class boutique offering an array of hand-selected international arts and crafts for personal adornment and home decor. Owner/Maven/Pioneer, Deb Colburn has united her extensive artistic background - textile arts, spinning, weaving, basket making and knitting - with her love of world travel. The result is a treasure trove of unique handicrafts from Africa, Afghanistan, India, Mexico, South America and Southeast Asia - bursting with color and artfully displayed throughout the store.
We buy many of our items direct from the artisan, keeping cultural traditions alive. NOMAD is a firm believer in "fair trade" and a buyer from many Aid to Artisan groups world-wide. We also host visits from the artists, giving our customers the rare opportunity to learn from the masters first-hand.
