Item Description
I am a former Kaiser parent. My three kids, Alistair, Annelise, and Andrew all attended Kaiser School. Alistair may still hold the Walk-a-thon record for the most laps, and he is now a pro-triathlete. Annelise and Andrew loved their time at Kaiser. All three are now in college. The illustrator, Maddie Gonda (pen name Maddie Kathleen), is also a Kaiser graduate. I hope you enjoy the book. I wrote it to inspire scientific literacy and wonder. All I can say now is: Be curious. Ask questions. Seek answers. And have fun!
Synopsis: Siona fears what her mother loves most--the sea. Here fears escalate after a bloody encounter with a ragworm at the beach. Her marine biologist mother, on the verge of a scientific breakthrough in metabolic evolution, starts a story, Siona's Tale, about a tiny sea squirt, hoping that her daughter may marvel at the wonders of the sea and the powerful connection all creatures share.
