A quarter-century after stunning the theater world, one of the greatest theatrical journeys of our time returns to Broadway in an acclaimed new production from London's National Theatre. Tony winner Nathan Lane and Andrew Garfield star in the first Broadway revival of Tony Kushner's Pulitzer-winning two-part epic Angels in America, directed by Marianne Elliott (War Horse, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time). This production is strictly limited, playing an 18-week engagement.

SYNOPSIS: In late 1985 and early 1986, as the first wave of the AIDS epidemic in America is escalating and Ronald Reagan has been elected to a second term in the White House, the play’s two parts bring together a myriad of disparate characters whose lives intersect, intertwine, collide and are blown apart during a time of heartbreak, reaction and transformation. Ranging from earth to heaven, from the political to the intimate to the visionary and supernatural, Angels in America is an epic exploration of love, justice, identity and theology, of the difficulty, terror and necessity of change.

About Andrew Garfield

Garfield was recently seen on stage in the National Theatre’s production of ANGELS IN AMERICA directed by Tony Award®-winning Marianne Elliott. He received rave reviews for his portrayal of “Prior Walter,” alongside Nathan Lane and Denise Gough. The production enjoyed a sold-out run and is now on Broadway for an 18-week run.

Garfield is currently receiving high praise for his performance in Andy Serkis’ directorial debut, BREATHE, based on the true story of the handsome, brilliant and adventurous Robin Cavendish (Garfield). He will then be seen in David Robert Mitchell’s UNDER THE SILVER LAKE, which will be released by A24 in June 2018.

In 2016, Garfield starred in Mel Gibson’s Academy Award®-nominated World War II epic, HACKSAW RIDGE. Garfield’s critically acclaimed performance earned him lead actor nominations at the Academy Awards®, Golden Globe Awards®, Screen Actors Guild Awards and BAFTA Awards. He also starred in Martin Scorsese’s SILENCE alongside Liam Neeson and Adam Driver.

In 2012, Garfield earned a Tony® nomination for Best Featured Actor in a Play for his Broadway debut in the revival of Arthur Miller’s Pulitzer Prize-winning play DEATH OF A SALESMAN, opposite Phillip Seymour-Hoffman and directed by Mike Nichols.

RESTRICTIONS:  Tickets may be used only for performances on Wednesdays, seeing the two parts on the same day, between April 4 and May 9, 2018.  Tickets are subject to avaiilability.

Scheduling will also be subject to Mr. Garfield's availability.  The meet-and-greet with Mr. Garfield can only take place after the second part of the production, NOT in-between parts.  

The gift card for Capital Grille is non-refundable and expires on August 31, 2018.
